Psalm 127
Psalm 127New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Prosperity Comes from the Lord.
A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.
127 Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To [a]retire late,
To eat the bread of [b]painful labors;
For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.
3 Behold, children are a [c]gift of the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
5 How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
They will not be ashamed
When they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Proverbs 29:15-17
Proverbs 29:15-17New American Standard Bible (NASB)
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom,
But a child [a]who gets his own way brings shame to his mother.
16 When the wicked [b]increase, transgression increases;
But the righteous will see their fall.
17 Correct your son, and he will give you comfort;
He will also [c]delight your soul.
